Who does this?

Well I officially am a law school screw-up. Seems one Rachelle thought she was ahead of the game, one last Monday, when she emailed her professor her thoughts about paper topics and sought some feedback. This, afterall, was early to be starting because the paper wasn't due until April 16. Seems one professor wrote Rachelle back saying, "Good to hear from you. The paper was due March 15. Since this is obviously news to you, I will give you and extension. Why don't you call me to talk about this." Thank you kind professor for your pity and for dealing with my apparent onset of schizophrenia. Who believes that a paper is due a FULL MONTH after it's really due? Well, apparently I do. Anyway...I have until the end of the week to finish it, so please, understand that I will be severely MIA until Sunday. (Excepting a brief appearance at Spot on Wednesday. heh heh.)

p.s. KM I heart your story!
p.p.s. Does anyone remember the pirate website? The one that had the slogan, "I want to love pirates will all of my body, including my pee pee."?????? Show of hands?

back to the hood

I was back in walpole for a very brief period, for Brendan's birthday. Baby Brendan is officially 21! It was a good time and it was nice to see the fam for a few days. So I flew in Monday night and we all had dinner together. Tuesday I caught up on some game playing with MB. That night I made pizza, went to coffee with mom and out to play pool with Bean. Bean and I played a few mean games of pool, then hit up the Dance, Dance Revolution game for a bit. It was fun--I love that game! Wednesday was the big day and we went to American Joe's Bar & Grill, where my mom decided to grace the waiter with a story of how becuase Brendan was born in leap-year, his real birthday was not the 16th, it's the 17th. That caused problems as you might imagine, but the waiter took it all in stride and then told my mom that maybe she needed a shot! Thursday, I went to see Robots with MB and then packed and left for the airport. Now, after a few fiascos with Nichole going to 'arrivals' instead of 'departures' and Josh getting real, real lost in the Boston and the parking lots of the airport, I made my way to my terminal. At my terminal, I decided to get one last good fish meal at Legal Seafoods. Well, I was dining alone, but that didn't last long. This guy asked if he could sit with me and just started chatting away. Honestly, it was a great coversation and he was a really interesting guy. I just wish he wasn't living in Philly! I was impressed that in minutes of meeting him, we were talking in depth about philsophy, religion, and aspects of the law. It was decidedly better than reading my trademark law review articles. Ha ha. Serioulsy, it was a great little date and it gave me more hope that interesting men do exist and can be found, even if it's at the airport...hahaha.

break time

Spring break officially started yesterday for me, class-wise. Today's my last day of work before break. God bless the person who invented spring breaks! Anyway, my new phone came yesterday, as did my Hot Hot Heat CD's. I am currently listening to Make Up the Breakdown. Crap, I love this CD. I haven't even listened to the other one that I bought, yet. Very exciting stuff.

I fly home on Monday night for Mine Bean's birthday. I'm excited about that and about seeing my sibs. :) It's a very short trip--flying in and flying out for the bro's bday. It should be good. I just hope tht the fligts are safe and not turbulent--oh and no snow in Buffalo woul dbe nice, as well.

I have exciting news: I know most if not all of you have heard me complain about there being a complete lack of stores that carry Via Spiga shoes. Now, normally I can't afford them anyway, but they are my favorite shoes. Anyway, I was at DSW looking for a pair of black loafers because I've worn out my old ones....and there was a pair of STUDIO SPIGA shoes!!!!!! They were exactly what I wanted: black loafers, that fit amazingly and feel like I'm walking on a cloud. Man I sweat Spiga shoes. I also found some really cute Candies sandals that will match my black and white skirt perfectly! In addition to those, I snagged a cute paid of black Steve Madden flats! All in all the deal were great! The Spiga's were only $60! The Candies were 8 and the Maddens were 15. Not bad for a day of shoe shopping. :) I was a happy, happy girl. Now I just have to wheatherproof them and then I can start the fashion show. :)

The other exciting news is that I finally got my new phone from T-Mobile. It actually came a lot sooner than I expected. My other loser phone was just terrible. I couldn't hear people half the time. I am hoping that this phone will get me through to my next phone bonus (June). Anyway...time to get to work.

Desperado

Ok so I just applied for a job in California--no idea WHERE in CA it is, but I applied for it. Why? Becuase I have no job for this summer and this was a position for an IP law assistant. I thought maybe that they would just create a position for me. What are the chances? And who just randomly applies to jobs in Greendale, maybe it was Greenvale? California??? Well, apparently I do. Wow. I am hitting the depths of despair. ANy suggestions or job offers are welcome.

Aside from that, nothing new, same shit, different day. No new boyfriend. No new job offer. No new A's on the transcript. Yes, friends, I am in the depths of despair--well ok maybe just a little down on life. The shrink is gonna get an earful this Friday!

On a happy note, I get to go home for my little brother's 21st birthday! I can't believe he's going ot be legally drinking in a few days. My little baby brother! Well, I guess it's inevitable: all of my little siblings must grow up. I'm just excited that I get to spend the day with mine Bean.

That's it for now. More on my inadequate living of life later. Until then...

Bring on the heat!

Hot Hot Heat played last night. They are a really great live band! I must say the whole concert was interesting, but HHH really blew away the competition. The first act was good--they were a local band from Buffalo. I have no idea what their band name was, but apparently Julia Roberts' brother is in the band (the one from law school, not the famous Julia).

Electric Eel Shock was the middle set. Just when you thought you saw it all from the nekked Blink182 drummer....EES's drummer came out with well, what seemed to be a really long sock on his wang, and nothing else. This band was from Tokyo, Japan. Very interesting and amusing set.

Then the Hot Hot Heat came and they are amazing live. All the songs were great. They played one from the upcoming album and some not included on Make Up the Breakdown. All in all it was a great night. The only bad thing is that I was too shy to talk to the hot punk boy...this year's new motto: "no regrets" (replacing "no consequences"), will hopefully secure that there are no repeat incidents of that. So the Heat are gonna be playing up in Toronto in April and I'm going to try and see them again.

That's it for the moment.
