lost.

You know, graduation is supposed to be exciting. I guess I am a little bit excited, but honestly, it's damned scary! I mean, they are about to thrust me out into a cold and unfeeling world of attorneys who do not have the business to hire the likes of me. It's all a bit unnerving to think that after three short years of studying (not that I want to have more), I will have the lives and futures of my clients in my hands. No wonder freaking attorneys are mainly Type A personalities. We have to be uptight. We must be suspicious. We have asses to cover...especially our own.

Speaking of...ok, today at work I got an email from a very pissed off engineer. Apparently he was upset with the wording of the nondisclosure agreement. Well, I thought he was taking issue with the way I wrote it, but after calling him, he was really just pissed that the other company took so much liberty rewriting the whole thing. Honestly, I know it's so common (cause it happens all the time) for the other company to completely ignore my requests and/or demands, but honestly...when I said it's against flipping company policy to agree to a certain term, it's FLIPPING AGAINST COMPANY POLICY and no cute little lawyer or negotiation games are going to change it. It got me a little bit heated to get this agreement back and have such utterly rediculous conditions be demanded. Clearly the lawyer on the other end has no idea who he/she is dealing with....a third year law student, dammit, who wants some flipping respect!! lol. So I guess I'm going to call the company and yell at them tomorrow. That's gonna be a joy!

After work, I went to a 'job interview', which basically was me meeting up with the 'boss' and him being like 'yeah, can you do this in a week?' Um, yeah...ok, and then he handed me a copycard and was like 'just call me when you're done. I'll pay you cash.' Hm.

Following the non-interview, I met w/D to do some Westlaw prep work. We plastered fun travel mugs for the table day on Monday with a list of prizes to be won. Then, we did some other prep work and just chatted a bunch afterwards. So I drive home from school after everything was all set and I realize that I don't have my keys. I can't believe I flipping lost my keys again. The only self respecting thing to do was to call LB and beg to come over. I then got take out and went over to watch Sex and the City episodes. :) I will spare the details of the rest of the night and the key search. In the end, I still don't have my keys, but my roommate came home so I could get into the apartment. :)

gotta sleep. am hoping to get into work at a reasonable hour with the keys that I hope to find in the library.
