Last Night...

Last night marked the end of an era: no more alter-ego nights, no more B.A.R. sightings.

Last night was the one year auction anniversary. Those who know what that means, know--those who don't, don't worry about it. Anyway, it was a fun night once again, albeit not half as interesting as last year's auction and auction aftermath. Ha ha. This year I ended up being outbid on Professor Wooten's wine tour and dinner package, as well as, once again, outbid for the Schlegel! dinner. Speaking of...Schlegel! was the auctioneer and while he would not give up the cowboy hat for the bidding, he was highly amusing. Auctioneering (is that even a word?) seemed like second nature to him. I ended up winning bids on several silent auction items: $125 in gift certificates to restaurants, for which I paid substantially less. I will be frequenting Cozumel, Cole's and Bacchus now that I have lots of gift certificates.

Ah, also I went to Mother's after the auction and Peter Michael Merrick was nowhere to be found. He has been demoted from bartending to permanent waitstaff. Kat's bartender Kevin was there, but no Peter Michael. After I told Aleks & Tracey this, they decided that we'll have to have dinner at Mother's. I don't think so. We'll see though....

OK...well lots of work to do today, so only a short blog. :)
